Car Alarms: 1998 bmw z3, resident technicians, bmw z3

i put an after market stereo( deck speakers amp sub) in my 1998 BMW z3 and i unhooked the battery for a couple of hours. after i got it all back together the factory alarm would not work.I know it is an alpine alarm and all it does is chirp three times like there is an open trigger. I was wondering if you had access to an 1998 alpine alarm wiring diagram so i can test to see which trigger it might be. The other question i have is it possible the the factory stereo is tied in with the factory alarm?
