Car Alarms: 1995 honda civic stock alarm, civic stock, fcc id

Question
I have a 1995 honda civic and after I get out of the car after driving the alarm arms itself. It may be in valet but it is definitely a stock alarm. There are three buttons on the remote. Help me to stop the alarm from self arming!

Answer
Ok, not a "stock alarm". There is none in a 95 Civic.
It's after market, likely installed at the dealership
when first sold, and the programming for active/passive(yours)
arming is in the proramming manual, and would be a
combination of using the key and the valet
switch to toggle back n forth.

Valet would mean there would be nothing at all
from the alarm. It' is rendered inert.
Your's is in passive arming mode.
(Oh, "stock" alarms don't have velet switches either).

I'd start with identifying the alarm at places
like remotesunlimited.com or keylessride.com
using the FCC ID # on the back of a remote.

Then locate the manufacturer to get the features
setting info directly from the horses mouth.

Good hunting.
