Car Alarms: Dont know how to turn the chirp back on on my Scion Tc, scion tc, valet mode

Question
Hi, When I first got my scion, whenever I would use the key to lock my car it would make a "beep"-ing sound, which I loved cause I knew for sure the damn thing was locked.. Then I brought my scion into a jiffy lube for a normal oil change and when I got it back and drove home to lock my car up when I used the keyless entry lock the beeping sound from then on never worked. I know they turned it off somehow but I have no clue how to turn it back on. I read the car manual cover to cover but there's no mention on how to do that. Please let me know how I can turn it back on cause sometimes I'll go to my car in the morning and realize that I never locked it the night before cause there was no indication (besides the lights of course but I honestly don't look for that all the time), thank you!

Answer
Should be no problem really.
It appears from your expaination, that the
car alarm is in service mode.

Ok, try this.
Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, press and hold in the valet/overide
button, found under the dash area, usually to the
left of the leg drilled into a hidden away spot,
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area goes off, and the siren chirps twice.
(Your valet switch might be the toggle (on/off) type.
in this case, key on, flip switch in opposite direction,
key off.)

This should reset the alarm.

Just Repeat these steps to place it
back to valet mode.

That should do it.
Let me know what happens.
