Car Alarms: Prestige APS 25 Randomly going off, prestige alarm, pin switch

Question
I recently had a prestige alarm installed and it randomly goes off.  The led indicates a hood or trunk pin has been tripped.  I check and no hood or truck pin is installed.  Any ideas as to what could be causing the problem?

Answer
The alarm is detecting a battery drain somewhere, and is
triggering to report that. I would start by
turning off the current sensor in the alarm programming.

This will require the manual to do that.
Then connect that wire to the trunk pin switch.

If unable to do it yourself, the nearest
car alarm shop should be able to sort that out for you.

Good luck.
