Car Alarms: Adjusting Shock Detector, toyota celica, shock sensor

Question
I have an audiovox pro-9144 on my 2002 Toyota Celica and it keeps going off when trucks go by. It causes such a racket!!! My neighbors have been very patient, bles 'em. Admittedly, this has been happening for awhile but I was given the run-around by both the dealer & audiovox so I gave up. Is this something I can adjust myself or is there a real person who can fix this? I am assuming it's the shock detector set too high.
Thanks !

Answer
If you can locate the shock sensor up under the drivers
side dash near the steering column, Unplug it altogether.
Then depend on the door/dome light trigger only.

Then no neighbors wake up unless someone is IN
the car.

Try to find a smallish black box, wire tied or screwed
into place, that has 2 blinking Lights. Or even 1 red one.
It would blink when the shell of the truck is hit
or has vibration enough to trigger it.

It will also have a wheel inset in it, or two, that
can be turned down, counter clock wise.
Trouble is, it can false again. Pain in the butt
really.

If it's me, I'd unplug the booger and be happy.

Good hunting.
