Car Alarms: Prestige alarm remote, fcc id number, prestige alarm

Question
i have a prestige alarm on my 1996 honda accord. one day it just stopped working but the alarm itself still worked. i thought my battery died in my remote so i replaced it. know the light on my remote stays on and it just kills the battery. and it does nothing button wise. i cant use it tward the alarm. is my remote ding this because it needs to be re rogrammed?

Answer
Doubt it. Sounds damaged.
If the light is on contantly, it it also transmitting
a signal. Take out the battery, use the FCC ID
number to ID it and go to www.REMOTESUNLIMITED.com
or, www.AUDIOVOX.com and aquire a new one,
with programming instruction.

You can try to repair it internally using isopropal
alchohol and a swab to see if you can repair the
button "action". Then if not joy, you at least tried.

I hope this works out for you.
