Car Alarms: remote starter, toyota sequoia, resident technicians

We recently purchased a new(used) Toyota Sequoia that has a Prestige remote starter.  I believe it is model number APS997 because the picture on the audiovox website looks the same; however, I do not see a model number on the unit and the seller had nothing on it.  The starter seemed to work fine for a few weeks.  All of a sudden, it will not start and it displays "inhibit" when you try to start it.  The unlock/lock works on the doors fine.  I have read the manual and cannot find anything.  Please help!  We live in the mountains with two young children and were so looking forward to being able to warm up the car without having to put all our boots and coats on.  Thank you so much!
