Car Alarms: Karr Alarm, ford f250 diesel, interior dome

04 ford f250 Diesel, both batteries were replaced in the truck and now when i set the alarm before the interior dome light turns off, the alarm thinks theres a door open or something and will chirp not only once like normal but now, chirps once then pauses and chirps 3 more times then pauses and chirps the last time after the dome light turns off. It is a karr alarm. please help... thank you
