Car Alarms: 2000 taurus perimeter alarm system, perimeter alarm, alarmtek

Question
i recently bought a 2000 ford taurus wagon came with remote door lock fob
with panic alarm and opens and locks doors and has the ford "pasive anti-
theft system" w/"electronic key" but has no perimeter alarm. I want to acquire
and install the Perimeter Alarm Equipment so the horn will sound if someone
attempts to enter the car. Is it possible to get this stuff or am i better off just
having a system installed.

Adding to the system is not feasable.
Hard to do correctly and lousey range
compared to adding a new system.

I suggest adding an after market that can substitute
for the current remotes, add much more
range, and of course a microwave motion
sensor to detect motion. Have a look
