Car Alarms: 97 Lincoln Town Car, lincoln town car, purple wire

Hi, I read your answer to the "my alarm is going off at all hours of the day & night" (97 Town Car) You replied to splice the dark green/purple wire from the LCM & ground it.  My question is if & look under the dash to the left of the column, would that be the ONLY dk green/purple wire I'll find?  The factory alarm has been a big problem for several months now & even some dealers are telling me that they can't disable it they can only FIX it.  What do you think?  Is that "Dealer B.S."?

That's what I have on it. And yes, should be 2 there. Passenger
and driver side. Do either, and if both are needed, bridge
off the first to the second.

But yeah, dealer has a vested interest in fixing the trouble,
not rigging it to fail/disable. Pretty obvious too when you
get the bill for they're "fix".
