Car Alarms: Pursuit prooe4bs Keyless Remote, valet mode, toggle switch

Question
QUESTION: One day last week I found the red light on my remote (lit) I tried to unlock the doors and couldn't and I tried to start my Truck with the remote start and couldn't can you help

ANSWER: Should be no problem really.
It appears from your expaination, that the
car alarm is in service mode.

Ok, try this.
Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, press and hold in the valet/overide
button, found under the dash area, usually to the
left of the leg drilled into a hidden away spot,
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area goes off, and the siren chirps twice.
(Your valet switch might be the toggle (on/off) type.
in this case, key on, flip switch in oposite direction,
key off.)

This should reset the alarm.

Just Repeat these steps to place it
back to valet mode.

That should do it.
Let me know what happens.

QUESTION: I tried that it didn't  work, the red light I was talking about is on the key chain remote.
It won't unlock or lock the doors
the quick start will not work
I have a black button and below that is a toggle switch
The toggle switch is up and I turned the key like you said
then held the black button in and nothing happened
Is there a battery or something in the receiver of the remote in my truck?
It means like it's not picking up the signal
I don't see any thing in the dash section light up or any sounds like you explained

Answer
Have you pulled the battery out of the remote? Sounds like it's either got a stuck button, or damaged internal circuit keeping it "engaged".

Take out the remote's battery, clean the parts of the remote
and put in a fresh batt. Then if no joy, it
may need reprogramming, which I do not
have for you unfortunately. You might
need to speek to a rep at AUDIOVOX for the
programming info needed. They make Pursuit.
