Car Alarms: remote no longer working, word excalibur, dodge intrepid

Question
I have a 1995 dodge intrepid with an alarm in it. I only have one remote left and it doesn't seem to be working at all. I have replaced the battery. I cannot start my vehicle at all the remote doesn't even open the door locks. There is no other problem with my vehicle. The remote has the word Excalibur on it so i don't think it was factory installed. When i push the buttons they light up but still nothing. Do i have a kill switch on my vehicle that would override the alarm system and where would it be???? I know that many mfg. put these in for mechanics to work on vehicles with out having to disrupt the system. OR, how do i by pass the system to start my vehicle???

he can assist you with this issue.

I unfortunately don't know the
system you are working with to advise
you properly on it's functions,
features or trouble shooting
information. Better to check with a tech
that might.
