Car Alarms: replacing factory system, dodge durango, ke30

i am considering replacing the factory keyless entry with an AUDIVOX AA 925 in my 2004 Durango, because i can buy the new system cheaper than i can buy the 2 keys that my son has lost. is this a fairly simple job or can you advise?

Answer
The 04 Dodge Durango has a single wire negative door lock system
A resistor will be needed on the (-) door lock outputs
to make an after market system work in there.

Not sure the Audiovox piece is going to work without relays added
as well. The KE30 from Commando (40.00), or the
Scytek ASTRA 50 (40.00) can do this without problems.

The installation then is a fairly straight forward job.
