Car Alarms: Immobiliser wont disengage., resident technicians, nissan primera

Question
I have a nissan Primera EZX with a thatchams immobiliser built in. If i engage my keyfob the immobiliser light goes out but the car won't start. If i then wait for the light to go back on, turn the key, then dab the fob while the key is fully turned the car starts! This is a pain as i have to remove the fob everytime i start the car. Any suggestion of what might be the cause?
