Car Alarms: how to program a new remote on a prestige aps997, replacement remotes, joe cassidy

i have a prestige aps997 now my lcd screen cracked and broke after i ran over it during go carting it fell out of my pocket lol. now i have a brand new box with the same alarm system in it now can i take the remote out of the new box and somehow program to this one?. ive taken the black box thing out of the new one and switched it with the one in the car but everything works but the remote start now. either how can i make the lcd remote work for the old alarm syatem. or how do i make the remote start work with the new remote if i replace the black box
