Car Alarms: Remote Start, valet remote start, chev 1500

Question
I have a VIP Valet Remote Start in a 1991 Chev 1500 Pickup.  The range is down to very few feet to start or to unlock doors.  Dealer checked system, and everything seems okay.  They suggested new antenna.  Do you concur, and do you have any idea where I may find an antenna for this older system?  Thanks.
