Car Alarms: 1998 Honda Accord EX sedan Factory Alarm Problem, honda accord ex, shock sensor

Question
I am having a problem with my factory alarm system on my 1998 Honda Accord EX sedan.  I go to arm it with either remote or with the key and 20 mins to 2 hours later the alarm goes off.  I would disarm it, the I would go and check car out and I cannot find nothing wrong with it.  When the alarm goes off, both headlights and horn goes off.  I did notice that when the car is armed the red light that normally blinks by the lock mechanism is not working at all.
How can this be fixed, or is there a way to disable the alarm and have the remote lock system still work?  Thanks!

Answer
Is the a siren involved?
Because if not, you may need to have Honda
take a look at it. But if there is a siren,
have a look at the past posts for valet overide.

You also might want to see if there is a shock sensor.
If there is, it's definately after market
and may need to be turned down, or off.

Hard to tell from here, but see what you can find.
