Car Alarms: 02 F-150 factory alarm, fcc id, passive mode

Question
How do i set my car alarm into passive mode, so the alarm will not set itself everytime i turn off the car.   I removed the battery and now the alarm sets itself and has become very sensitive going off at loud noises and such.

factory alarms do not arm themselves.
