Car Alarms: 00 sebring jx wont start, sebring jx, bells and whistles

Question
QUESTION: i believe that the factory alarm system has disabled the car from starting is there a valet/overide switch to reset it if so where is it located. i've taken a look under the dash but can't seem to find it

ANSWER: Please be more descriptive if possible.

"GOING OFF?"

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
(doubtfull since none of the notes show this
car as having a factory alarm system)=FACTORY

Or,

is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?= AFTER MARKET

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take.

QUESTION: no alarm or lights are flashing. when i insert the key all the bells and whistles work the car just won't start,it's the factory alarm system. the led turns off like it's supposed to but it's like the engine has been disabled, the engine turns over it just won't start

Answer
The best idea is to try to turn the key
in the drivers door to the left to disarm
and then to the right to unlock.
The door locks and the security are interconnected.
One depends on the other. So no easy fix here.
You can either get a replacement factory remote,
or put in an aftermarket system to do that lock/
unlock function.

If however you do not get it to disarm with the
key trick, then you will need to have the car
towed to Chrysler for inspection/reset if
necessary.

Wish I had good news, but it's a tough
vehicle to disarm if it's malfunctioning.

Good Luck.
