Car Alarms: car alarm/starter replacement, alarm starter, wiring harness

I purchased a used vehicle that was previously equiped with a audiovox alarm/starter. The problem is that the unit itself was removed, and I cannot find another one of an audiovox pursuit model pro-9475-ft anywhere. The wiring harness is still intact beneath the dash, along with the siren under the hood. Question is do you think it is possible to buy a different unit that was installed and use the wiring guide from the previous model which I have, to wire a new one in, or should I seek a pro for the job?

Sure you can do this since the wiring harnesses
are already there.

You would need the wiring chart for the vehicle
at www.wirewerx.com , and then ID the wires
attached under the dash.

Then using the new remote starter manual,
match up the colors until complete.

Pretty easy actually.
