Car Alarms: cobra 3865 problem, starter wire, dash area

Question
Got a alarm on a car and everything was great until someone
decided to press the button on the dash with a very small led attached
to it.

the car was running at the time no probs, infact the car has been 100%
reliable so when i tried to use it and it wouldn't go i know pressing
the button has buggered things up.
it bascially like the alarm has switched itself on and because i have
not got a alarm fob,i can't switch it off or reset it.
it also has battery back up     as i thought disconnecting it
may reset it, but no the immobilliser has cut the fuel pump.

the car has its own rcl key that opperates a manufacturers alarm+immob
why it has a flipping Cobra i don't know

any ideas :(

thank you for looking

Answer
If this is a siren and the parking lights flashing,
and LED light in the dash blinking...
This is an aftermarket system.

The alarm is is long tamper mode.
You will need to reset it.

Ok, try this.
Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, locate, press and hold in the
valet/overide button, (the
button/LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area goes on solid,
and the siren chirps once.

This should reset the alarm, and reset
the grounded relay on the starter wire,
allowing you to start the engine.

At this point, the only thing working would
be the keyless entry from the alarm,
if it came equipped that way.

Just Repeat these steps to place it
back to usable armed mode.
You may get 2 chirps, confirming it,
and the lights may flash twice as well.

That should do it.

Let me know what happens.
