Car Alarms: car alarms, jeep cherokee, wire cutters

Question
QUESTION: My 1997 jeep Cherokee had an alarm system with a kill switch installed a year after I bought the car new by someone else than the dealer. Recently I have noticed that the alarm will arm itself without me pushing the remote.
Usually I can just use the remote to reset it, but lately I had trouble doing that. I replaced the remotes battery just in case, but that didn't help. I left work yesterday
and noticed that the alarm had armed itself. I used the remote to disarm it and started the car. The car seemed like it didn't want to start like it was a strain to start.
I drove the car home but on the way the battery light started to illuminate. The battery light stayed on for a while then it went off, and then lit again. While I was at a light waiting for it to change the car suddenly shut off and the alarm went off. I tried to start the car but it appeared that the kill switch was engaged. I used the remote to shut off the alarm once again. When I returned home and parked the car, I shut the motor off and then tried to restart the engine but it would not start. It appeared that the kill switch was activated and the car would not start. The remote is unable to deactivate the alarm at this time. PLEASE HELP!

ANSWER: Have the charging and the battery checked John.
The alarm is triggering due to low voltage and
that's directly related to the charging/alternator system.

All things being equal, and from the description,
it's not the security, it's the power distribution.

Let me know if I was right please.

QUESTION: I CHANGED THE BATTERY AND HAD THE ALTERNATOR CHECKED. I CHANGED THE REMOTES BATTERY AGAIN ALSO. THE CAR ALARM WILL NOT DISENGAGE THE KILL SWITCH. WHAT CAN I DO ?

Answer
Then it's removal time.
Locate the yellow wire in the ignition
switch harness ubder the dash.

On this wire was installed
a relay for your "kill switch"
Take wire cutters, remove the starter kill
wires, and re attach the 2 starter wire ends.

Starter kill gone, Jeep should start now if
that was the issue.
