Car Alarms: Pro Tek car alarm, toyota camry, dash area

Question
Our 1993 Toyota Camry came with the alarm.  Battery problems over a year ago and car wouldn't start.  Seems like car was shut down by alarm until battery replaced and connection from battery to alarm replaced.  Car would not start again this morning though battery charged.  I activated then deactivated the Pro Tek alarm and was able to turn on lights but once I tried the ignition, everything stopped.  Tried alarm again but this time was unable to get lights working.  I have called for tow truck but not sure to go back to Sears where I had a Die Hard Gold installed or to a local Toyota Dealership.  What would you advise?

Answer
Ok, try this.
Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, press and hold in the valet/overide
button, found under the dash area,
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area goes off, and the siren chirps twice.
(Your valet switch might be the toggle (on/off) type.
in this case, key on, flip switch in oposite direction,
key off.)

This should reset the alarm.
Let me know what happens.
