Car Alarms: Viper Alarm, jeep wrangler, sensor unit

I picked up a 1995 Jeep Wrangler for my son.  Recently, I was not getting spark at the distributor, so I replaced the coil and the crankcase sensor unit.  Didn't seem to correct the problem.  Can the viper alarm allow the vehicle to turn over but not produce spark at the distributor...if so, what is the easiest way to disarm the alarm permanently?
