Car Alarms: Alarm, honda civic hatchback, correct polarity

Question
QUESTION: Hi, I installed a pager alarm in my car but there is a problem with the locking of the doors. My car has a 2wire actuator which closes with correct polarity and then to open its reversed my alarm does provide this positive/negative opening/closing, however it does not seem to pulse long enough to close. If i press the close button twice it will lock fully and the same for opening there is nothing in the manual about extending the pulse time all it has is a jumper for either electrical or pneumatic door locks I have it set on electrical. Is there anything I can do or get it give it a longer pulse time?

Thanking You,
Andy P

QUESTION: Its a 97 Honda civic hatchback jap import model. There was a alarm fitted on this car one time, when they fitted it they installed a actuator on the drivers door to lock that door which in turn would lock the passenger door via the factory fitted central locking. but my now new pager alarm doesn't pulse long enough for the actuator to operate fully

ANSWER: Might need a better grounding spot.
But look at www.relayhelp.com , at
adding aftermarket actuators, and re check
the wiring done. You may be missing something...

QUESTION: Would it be normal that the pulse would last less than a second? Also I changed the jumper to stop it auto locking but it still does. Could it be a problem with the alarm's brain?

Answer
Yes, of course it can be the alarm brain, the relays,
or the central door locking kit too.

You unfortunately, would need to figure out which it is.
I can only offer general assistance here, so you may
need to do some research on the system you have
to effect repairs.
