Car Alarms: will I need a by-pass module for my 2002 4runner, galaxy 5000rs, alarmtek

I have a 1996 4runner and a 2002 4runner. I have a scytek galaxy 5000rs remote starter/alarm combo on the 96 4runner that didnt require a by-pass module. Will I need one for the 02? Both trucks seem to have the same factory alarm system.

Yes sir, you will
require it on the 2002 version.

The module required here will also require
a coded ignition key.

PASS-4 - Universal Transponder Bypass w/relayed
(+/-) Key sense
Universal Transponder Bypasskit w/flexi-loop
stick-on pcb antenna ring designed to temporarily
bypass via RF induction most OEM transponder
ignition immobilizer systems when remote starting.
(35.00 at ALARMTEK)

That will then allow the transfer from old to new.
