Car Alarms: Prestige Car Alarm, prestige car, roll ups

Hi, I've got a Prestige Car Alarm, model# APS OE2B. There are two buttons namely; alarm/disarm and Option. My question is that I have no idea what the option button is for. Is this to cut-off the alarm?

The usual option is a (-) output that would go to a relay for trunk pop or window module roll ups etc...

Can also be used to trigger an add on remote start module
and the wire is likely to be gray in color on the
brain box harness.
