Nissan Repair: Fan blower

My fan has stopped working. I would gently hit the top of the dash and it would start. Then it wouldn't start until I drove for 15 -20 miles and then suddenly come on. Now nothing works. Is it the fan switch ac- resistor or blower motor? Thanks

Hi Chris -

this is most likely the fan motor. However you can check really quick using a 12V test light with probe. With the switch on, check for power at the motor. If there is power, the motor is defective.

Most of the time it is the motor because the motor is actually upside down at installation, so it fails faster.
