Car Alarms: 2002 Volkswagon Jetta, volkswagon jetta, remote transmitters

Question
I had to replace the battery in my 2002 Jetta key, which has the keyless entry lock/unlock buttons.  As the other key broke a few years ago, I only have the one key and now it will not lock or unlock the doors and have not way or resetting the key with the other one. How can I reset the key to work?  I desperately do not want to pay a "reactivation" fee.

Thanks for any and all help.

Answer
Wish I could offer help, but the VW transponder
key programming is not one of my specialties
as it said on the site, I do not provide
remote transmitter programming info here.

Try a site like www.keylessride.com.
www.keynfob.com , or www.remotes4you.com
as providing replacement remote transmitters
and programming them, is what they
specialize in. Give them a shot at it.

Good luck.
