Car Alarms: How to replace Horn w/ Chirp w/ Remote Lock, honda civic lx, car alarm system

Question
I have a 2002 Honda Civic LX. When I press the remote lock twice the horn honks briefly. Is there a way to change the honk to a "chirp"? I'm assuming a third party remote lock kit will do it but don't know what would need replaced or what to replace it with. Any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks!

Answer
You are correct. You would need to add an
after market system to get it to chirp differntly,
or change the car horn itself.

Any car alarm system out there will give you
a chirp as opposed to a honk, so it's
all a matter of which one suits you.

The six tone siren is most prevalent, but
you can get all different kinds of sirens
that will change the sounds. (www.12voltplanet.com)

Anyway, with just the OEM system horn, not a lot
can be done to make a change.
