Car Alarms: Passive arming & reset of alarm, hyundai santa fe, resident technicians

Hello, and thanks in advance for any help! My elderly mother recently bought a Hyundai Santa Fe with an Audiovox APS-786T alarm system.

Three issues- First, how do you turn off the passive arming? After 30 secs, it locks doors and arms system. She doesn't want that.

Second, if the alarm is triggered, how is it reset?

Third, where would I find the Valet switch?

The 12 page manual is useless on all 3 of these questions.

I unfortunately don't know the
system you are working with to advise
you properly on it's functions,
features or trouble shooting
information. Better to check with a tech
that might.
