Question
i have a 1986 nissan pick up. recently my battery went dead because i left my lights on. my truck was locked because the alarm,so I opened it with the keys, and when i turned the lights off the alarm started going off. I put the key in the egnition and turned the truck to on. the alarm stopped. when i got my battery jumped my truck turned on but the alarm doesnt lock the truck or turn on. If i disconnect it from the battery the alarm will go off but i cant turn it off with the romote.

Answer
Power it up, let the alarm trigger, then
find the valet overide button or switch, and
take out the alarm sound and disable it.
(look under the dash area for a button or,
a toggle switch. When you locate it, turn on the
ignition key, press and hold in the button (little
spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.=VALET/OVERIDE)

To identify the alarm, go to www.keynfob.com
and use the FCC ID# on the casing of the remote.

Then locate the manufacturer if you want to
get re-programming info and procedures.

I'd leave it this way until you can either
learn to control the alarm by it's remote,
or remove the system all together.

I hope this gets you on the right track.
