Car Alarms: remote start, cheverolet astro van, alarmtek

Question
I have a Hornet Remote Start that was put on my 1999 cheverolet Astro Van back in 2000.  I have been having prooblems with it lately, as to where I get into my van and try to start it and with my key, and it will not start.  I then have to engage the remote start, disengage it, wait for 10-15 minutes and then the van will start.  I would like to disconnect the remote start.  How can I do this without having to pay someone to do it?
