Car Alarms: Acura 2.5 tl, alarmtek, valet service

Question
QUESTION: i have an acura 2.5 tl . i just got it like 2 months ago
and what happens every week , the car wont turn on at all
y got the alternator and battery tested they both tested ok. i was told it might be an issue with the alarm , please if you could give me some advise on how i can disengage the alarm or what should i do or what should i get tested to prevent this problem, thank you

ANSWER: Please tell me what you are experiencing.
First, the year of the car is important.

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
(doubtfull since none of the notes show this
car as having a factory alarm system)=FACTORY
Or,
is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?= AFTER MARKET

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take, to help you to fix this
situation you're in quickly.

Answer
Gotcha, let's put it into valet/service mode,
and try to reset the alarm to default mode.

Ok, turn on the ignition
key, press and hold in the button
until the alarm chirps 1 time.

This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.

At this point. the alarm would have reset.
If this had a starter kill relay installed,
it would now be opened, and the engine would
turn over when tried.

You would repeat these steps to go back to
user mode to see if this was corrected.

Let me know if it works for yours.
