Car Alarms: 1997 Mercury Tracer Reset, mercury tracer, 1997 mercury tracer

Question
I have a 1997 Mercury Tracer and the alarm gets triggered so that the car will not start. How can I reset the alarm? I am stuck!!! I am going to have the battery and the alternator checked as possible sources of the issue.

Please try to locate the valet switch
to overide the alarm.

If you would read some of the previous
posts I made on this subject, you will
see the procedure to toggle into and out
of valet/override mode. It allows
you to set and reset the starter kill mechanism
as well as all other standard alarm features.

This should also apply to yours.
