Car Alarms: 1998 Chrysler Town & Country, purple wire, chrysler town

Hi. My fiance has a 1998 Town & Country with a messed up factory alarm. Sometimes the vehicle just plain won't start. No turning of the motor or starter. Sometimes the alarm goes off after unlocking the drivers door with the key. She doesn't have a key fob. The door locks intermittently lock and unlock. Sometimes their is racket coming from all door locks like the sound of a dying battery/starter buzzing constantly. Do I use the Dark Green/Purple wire on this van, splice it, and ground it out to disable completely? Or is their a different colored wire? Thank you.

No, sorry, this one does not have a simple fix.

You would need to add a keyless entry to
the truck to disarm the intigrated factory
alarm.

From the sounds of it, the charging system
needs to be inspected. If not up to snuff,
could cause issues witht the locks and security
as hers seems to be doing.

Take it to a mechanic for a charging system
inspection.
