Car Alarms: 2003 Honda Accord alarm going off, alarmtek, honda service

QUESTION: tonite 2003 accord alarm went off five times.  I have to hit unlock on key to get the alarm to stop.  When I set lock again, alarm would sound in about five minutes.  Finally just left car unlocked.  Any idea what might cause spontaneous alarm trip?

ANSWER: Please tell me what you are experiencing.

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
(doubtfull since none of the notes show this
car as having a factory alarm system)
Or,
is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take, to help you to fix this
situation you're in quickly.

QUESTION: headlights flashing, horn honking, flashing light in car.  I thought it was a factory alarm as it is armed off of the Honda key.

Answer
If it were aftermarket, I may have been some help,
but unfortunately, with this one you will need
to have Honda service reset, and evaluate as to
what caused it, and how to stop it from
happening again.

There is nothing external you could do yourself to
stop it if malfunctioning, so please make an appontment
with the local dealer for some help to get yoo out
of this.
