Car Alarms: TDS Car Alarm 97 Camry, windshield wipers, battery cables

I replaced the battery and the first time i started the car up the alarm went off.  I went through the standard procedure of shutting it off with the velet switch to get the car started.  Now i have no blinkers, lights, guages, power windows, windshield wipers.  It appears that the electrical system is still turned off.  I checked all of the fuses they are ok.  Have you heard of this happening and if so is there a relatively simple fix.

No, this seems to be an electrical issue with the computer, the alternator or, battery/cables system.

My advice is to look at these first. The alarm
would not shut down all of the electronics like
described.
