Car Alarms: Automate AM7 and Checkmate KD-500+, resident technicians, separate cars

Question
I have each of these systems on 2 separate cars and both of them have passive arming enabled. The way I use my vehicles, to constantly hit the transmitter every time I want to open the door is a hassle. Do you know how to reprogram either or both of these systems to disable passive arming?
