Car Alarms: Car alarm sets off, pin switch, dash area

Question
QUESTION: Hello I have 99 Honda Accord LX 5 speed with a Crime Stopped LCD Remote Start and keyless entry alarm. When I press the unlock button it chirps twice. But when I press the lock button and/or the remote start button it sets off the alarm immediately. The alarm system was bypassed and installed by Alarm shop. Worked fine before just started happening. Any ideas?

Thanks

ANSWER: The alarm is reading an open circuit in the car.
Could be a bad pin switch, or an open light in the
trunk perhaps. But the alarm is set off by
battery drain of some sort here.

Look around for any source on in the car when
you arm. It can even be a delay on the dome light
in some cases. If this is something in your vehicle
that can be turned down or off, try that to see
if it corrects the triggering.

Good hunting.

QUESTION: Well my rear 3rd brake light doesn't work and the brake light indicator on my dash lits up when I start my car. Does that have anything to do with it? Also, I was told that the original key is used to by pass the remote start. Do you have any idea where I can locate and find this key? Thanks

Answer
I would have to say that the transponder bypass installed
is conflicting with the ignition key you are trying
to use. Replace the burnt light, and see if that simple
fix makes the overall correction.

If installed correctly, the other key is in a black
blox, wire tied up under the dash area.

I hope this helped some.
