Car Alarms: Alarm driving me nuts, toyota innova, screw driver

Question
I have a Toyota Innova that had just turn 2(years old). The alarm that came with it is it's stock alarm with remote. My problem is that the alarm is too sensitive. A dog barks near it, it goes off. A loud vehicle runs near it, it goes off. At random times, it doesn't go off so easily.

Is there a way I can shout down the sirens via the included remote? I know there's a sequence for it as I've tried it before (turning off siren/turning it back on), but I have lost the security alarm manual and have no idea how I once did it.

Thanks.

Answer
Not certain what after market alarm you have
there, but try to locate the sensor under the drivers
dash area. It will have 2 blinking lights most likely.
The turn down using a small screw driver,
going counter clockwise to turn down, clockwise
to go up in sensitivity.

All systems are different, so not certain
what your remote is capable of,
sorry. You would need to aquire
another manual for the alarm so you will know
how to control it.

Good luck.
