Car Alarms: keypad alarm, olds cutlass, butt connector

Question
ihave a 1988 olds cutlass. it has a key pad starter disable system. i want to be able to cut it off or change the code after i have it serviced. it is located on the dash right next to base of steering column. can you help

Answer
Ok, drop the underpanel below the steering
column and locate yellow wire in the ignition
switch harness. On this wire will also be
2 wires from the keypad disabler. Cut them off and
re attatch the 2 yellow wire ends with a yellow
butt connector.

Finally, just cut off the other wires to the keypad,
black tape off, and pin it back up.

No more starter kill.

These devices usually come from the factory with one
4 digit code and is not possible to re code or change the
programing at all.

Have a good one
