Car Alarms: can i integrate a aftermarket security system into the factorys, 2006 hyundai sonata, hyundai sonata

I am interesting in buying a K-9 Sombra which offers hands free entry, as i approach the vehicle it unlocks, as i walk away it locks

My vehicle is 2006 Hyundai Sonata with a Factory security system, no immobilizer.

Have you heard of the K-9 Sombra ?

Can I integrate this alarm system into the factory security system without causing any issues?


Can i use both security systems remote fobs yes or no?

Is it possible to have double protection?

It can be added, but trying to use 2 different remotes
will be a conflict. But yes, you will preserve the
usefullness and integrity of the factory alarm.

I don't know the Sombra system, but I imagine
it to also have keyless entry and would advise
using it instead of the factory set up.

Most likely, the kia's security system is part
of the door locking system as well, and the addition
of the k-9's keyless will also disarm the factory system
when unlocked remotely. And of course armed when locked.

That's my opinion. You go with whatever works
best for you.
