Car Alarms: 1995 Jetta III Alarm, side kick panel, keyless entry system

Question
I have a 95 Jetta III with car alarm issues. When I turn the ignition, instead of starting like normal, the trunk latch disengages and the car won't start. When I open the driver's door to shut the trunk the alarm goes off. It is an endless cycle that has left the car unusable. PLEASE - how can we completely disable this silly alarm system? I have had it to 2 garages who say it is working perfectly. It's not.

Answer
Ok, normally, you would insert the key in
the drivers door, turn left, then right
to disarm and reset it. If yours is malfunctioning,
you can disable it for good by doing the following:

The FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE IS
red/blk or green |+|,
Located driver door harness in the divers side kick
panel.

Once Located, splice into this wire with
a simular guage wire, and then you will need a keyless entry system set up to provide a
single positive pulse to disarm that system.

Wish I could offer a free way to do it, but unfortunately,
the Europeans do things a bit differently then we, or
the rest of the world does. The Vw system is positive.

Once done however, it would provide the disarm signal
each time you go to unlock the doors.

Take it to a local car alarm technician to have this performed on the Jetta.

Only way I have onfile to do this after market
and not spend the 179.00 VDUB wants for they're remote.

Have a good day.
