Car Alarms: 2007 RAV4 Alarm, replacement remotes, opertunity

We just purchased a 2007 RAV4.  We decided not to purchase the factory alarm.  It seems like they basically disabled the alarm right there while we were paying for the car.  Does that mean that the alarm is still in our car, but not enabled?  If so, can we go to a third party to have them enable the alarm?  Thanks!

Yes it is likely they simply disabled the
after market alarm, but if you don't have
the remote, then using the alarm won't work.

You will need to identify the alarm before
you have an opertunity to use it.

Either ask the dealer what the make/model of the
system in there, or take it to an after market shop
to remove and inspect/identify it so you can get the
replacement remotes, program them and then you
can try to use it.
