Car Alarms: 97 JGC Alarm Bypass, dome light supervision, security interface

Question
Have installed an aftermarket alarm on my son's 97 JGC. The factory alarm continues to go off at all hours.  Took it back to Car Toys (alarm installer) and they attempted to bypass the factory alarm by grounding the purple and yellow wire.  This would not work because the dome lights would not turn off.  The tech said he looked at the tech data and could not figure what else to do.  Now I must manually lock the car so the alarms do not arm.

Answer
Don,
This is not unheard of. Have the installer
purchase & use DEI 455t
door lock interface control module. This will control door lock, unlock, arm, disarm, dome light supervision and more.

It's a more seemless and controlled way to do this.
Blame Jeep by the way for the veriable factory multiplexing
door lock/security interface. I am sure the tech simply
was unaware of this module.

Please write to sales@tampacaralarms.com and tell Joe I sent ya!
He'll sell and explain the device as well.

Good luck with it.
