Car Alarms: Sidewinder - 2001 Kia, alarms system, auto reply

Question
Hi - My auto-start/alarms system stopped working..I get a green light on the remote but no response.  I checked the fuse, and it appears to be o.k.  I even checked the toggle switch (which I assume disables the vehicle if needed), with no luck.  The red LED is not lit, so should I assume that there is no power to the unit?  If I unlock the vehicle with the key, the alarm sounds til I put the key in the ignition. Thats is frsustrating..  Can you help?
