Car Alarms: Car alarm shut off engine, alarmtek, karr alarm

QUESTION: Tonight while i stopped my car to pick up the mail, i turned the car off. when i
turned it back on a minute later, the car would not start. i suspect that i was the
alarm b/c when i tried to turn the car back on all of the lights remained on,
which signaled to me that it was not the battery. what can i do?

ANSWER: Please tell me what you are experiencing.

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
(doubtfull since none of the notes show this
car as having a factory alarm system)
Or,
is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take, to help you to fix this
situation you're in quickly.

QUESTION: There are no flashing lights, and the horn is not going off. i've tried all of the
keys given to me, but none of them are working.  the alarm sysmtem is actually
a KARR alarm. i tried to reset the little box by the driver's knee, and that still did
not allow me to start my car. honestly,  do not know what else to tell you.

No sorry, if the valet overide in the past posts I made
did not work:

TURN KEY ON, THEN IMMEDIATELY PRESS AND HOLD
THE VALET OVERIDE BUTTON UNDER THE DASH AREA,
UNTIL THE SIREN CHIRPS, AND THE LED IN THE DASH
GOES ON SOLID=VALET/OVERIDE=
CAR WOULD THEN START AND ALARM RESETS.

then you will need to contact a KARR dealer,
as I don't sell or service they're equipment.
