Car Alarms: carbine remote entery system, shock sensor, light flasher

Question
i have the al-477 carbine remote entry system hooked up with a  as-9499 audiovox shock sensor on a used car that i didnt install. the problem is when i push the large button on my carbine entry remote all it does is un-arm my alarm niether the big nor small button open or close the doors or the trunk. i looked at the back of the carbine moduel under the dash and it has all the wires hooked up to do this. i was wondering if maybe its just not hooked up to do the features or if there is a sequence of programing through the remote i have to enter in order to get it to work or if you knew a site i could go to for this info.

Answer
Hard to say without a bit more info, but it's likely
the installer did not wire the door locks.
Just wanted a noise generator and light flasher
I guess. It really depends on the car, and the lock
type, plus if the guy knew what he was doing.

Try going to www.magnadyne.com and see if they can supply
you with more info on your system, and some
support to get the locks and trunk release done right.

Good luck.
