Car Alarms: Keyless entry and dealer alarm, valet mode, toyota alarm

Question
I have a 2002 Sienna LE with Factory keyless entry and a NY Toyota dealer installed lojack system and alarm. The keyless systems recently stop working.  I am now opening and closing the doors manually. The alarm still works, but because its tied into the keyless remote (it arms and disarms with the keyless remote) I have to arm and disarm it by manually opening and closing the doors.
I have changed the batteries, but the problem persists.  I took it to the dealer in West Palm Beach to reset the remote for the keyless entry and was told the alarm is not factory and their computer cannot reprogram the alarm. I called loJack and their technician says that if I put the alarm in valet mode (solid red) the alarm would be disable and the dealer should be able to reset the keyless entry.  I explained to lojack that the dealer did follow those procedures, but they were not able to reprogram the remote. Lojack is insisting that the valet mode should allow the reprogramming and the dealer is insisting that the alarm has to be removed (which they won't do because its not a Toyota alarm)
I have noticed that when the front passenger door closes, the door locks make a clicking sound about three times in succession,  the sound is also coming from below the dash right around where the valet switch is located.
Who is right, the dealer or loJack?
How can I reset my keyless entry?

Answer
Ok Marvin,
My take on this is that you can induldge this
"pissing" contest with them, or take the alarm
system to an aftermarket alarm installer near
you. All they seem to be doing is playing
"HOT POTATO" with you and your claim.

A Car Alarm Shop may have someone who can inspect
and repair the keyless system. Leave Toyota out of
it. They actually have no clue as to after market system
applications, so that's a very pricey way to go.
They woulc contract an after market contractor
and tripple the charge back to you.

And Lojack could care less too.

Please try 800 780-1409 for Commando Alarms in
Ft. Lauderdale. They are very good.

Try to get it done by someone who
deals with these things all the time.

Call Commando, and let me know what they
find out.
